More fresh produce with friends...

This is Abbey, Nick, Ryan and Megan ready to head in.

We really enjoy getting together with our friends on hot, sweaty days to have adventures. Strawberry picking was a hit in June and Kristen needed "nature pictures" for photography class, so back we went to the farm to pick blueberries and raspberries. We had a great time! The kids loved running up and down the tall rows of bushes. They picked big, juicy blueberries by the handful yelling, "JACKPOT!" They kind of bailed on the raspberries. They're a little harder to pick. Oh well, the Mommies picked raspberries while the kiddos played.

I suppose I could freeze all the berries or bake with them, but I'm much more of a purist and will probably gobble them all up as is. It's hard for me to even sit here thinking about them to not go grab a huge handful of blueberries....for my belly's sake I should probably pace myself!

There were also flowers, which we didn't pick-your-own. They were beautiful, but I was there for things I could eat. Kristen was taking artsy-fartsy pictures I felt the need to as well.

Have I mentioned how much I love summer? Walking down the dirt road, past the flowers and back to the barn. Can life get more perfect than this?

I love taking pictures of food. God's creation is so beautiful with it's vibrant colors. Sometimes I am overwhelmed. Those berry pics are beautiful!
