Happy Birthday - Part II

Yesterday was both Dave's cousin Jonny's birthday and my father's birthday. Jonny's party was on his actual birthday. We'll celebrate with my father this weekend at the lake. Auntie Cheryl throws an awesome party. You'd hardly know it was for a 23-year-old! In fact, there were only three people there under the age of 20! The kids had games and prizes and even a pinata! Rogue thunder cells threatened our good time, but we persevered!


The grill went into the garage with an elaborate ventilation system.



Jonny braved the chilly pool with the kids once we were clear of lightning. The pinata was a gift bag filled with candy, hung from a tree. Megan loved the idea so much she wants one for HER birthday.



Of course, we ended the night with gifts and way too many desserts before bedtime! The kids are now eating more pinata candy for breakfast. Nice!
