Seafood on the Coast

For years now we have gone out to lunch on Sunday afternoons with my in-laws. It's a nice time together and usually nothing fancy. Dave called his mother this week to check on the lunch plans and, to our surprise, they and his grandparents had thought of heading toward the North Shore for seafood. Always up for a field trip, we joined them! We all piled into Yma & Gugs' van and headed out.

It was a bea-u-ti-ful Sunday during Labor Day weekend and a lot of other people had the same idea! We went to Woodman's in Essex, MA for a fried seafood delight. We took our food out under a big tent and ate at a picnic table over looking the marsh. It was bright and sunny and there was a slight breeze. The kids even had an ice cream for dessert.

This is Nick Trying to be patient in the long line to get in. I think he looks like a turtle.

Megan and Grammy having fun.Ice Cream! This is one of MANY poses Meg did on the rock overlooking the marsh.
What a perfect way to celebrate the "unofficial end of summer."

Our scenic ride home even took us past Auntie Amy & Joey's apartment, so we dropped in rather unannounced to say 'Hi!"

Three lovey cousins!
