The dog and the cat have become friends. The dog doesn't bark at the kitty and the kitty doesn't meow or hiss or scratch at the dog, but the whole play scene makes me nervous. The cat will come through the baby gate and the dog will lick her and slobber all over her and attempt to pick her up and carry her around....in one picture it's by the kitten's EAR! The dog uses the cat like a dust mop on the kitchen tiles and the cat just lays there like a rag doll. At this point in the "game" I usually freak and take the cat away from the dog.
We had lunch today with cousin Josiah Casler at the mall. He is visting this area on an extended layover from his trip to England. Sadly, he was more interested in the train that looked like Percy on the merry-go-round than us. Too bad Caleb Kleppinger is in Miami this week...they could have swapped Thomas the Tank Engine know how. We put the kids near him to try to get a picture. Oh, well. It was great to see he and Krista anyway!!
This afternoon Nicholas had both karate and baseball. Both involved rain. A downpour soaked me to the skin as we ran from the car into karate. My jeans remained wet through karate and baseball. There were also some sun showers during baseball. I didn't take pictures. My attitude was not at its best.
We got home and both muddy kids needed to be scrubbed before bed. Little miss mind of her own felt the need to unpackage and start inflating the kiddie pool I bought today...in the middle of the living room floor.
Now somehow I need to wrangle everyone into bed. Hahaha! I'm about to go Monster Mama (anyone read that book?) on them. Hurry home, Daddy! You're missing all the fun! I think "Friday Night Freak Show" would have been a better title for this entry.

Don't feel bad. Our pool (and floats) are in our living room half the time too. We like to fill our pools with many things, other than water. Keeps life interesting...
