No such thing as a free cat

When we adopted our dog from the Humane Society we were amazed at how high the "adoption fees" were. Our cute little rescue cost us over $300 just to adopt. Then the regular vet bills started. Turns out, she was a bargain!

Zoey was free....for the first half hour. The initial visit that Saturday night to the 24 hr. animal hospital was over $100. Today she had her first well-kitty visit and vaccinations. I paid $75. I asked for estimates for her next appointments so we can plan. She'll finish up her shots next month (over $100) and then she'll be spayed in the fall (Over $400).

Cammy wasn't cheap, but she came spayed, micro-chipped, and was up to date on all her shots.

All the nurses and the vet were swooning over how beautiful Zoey is. She's a keeper.

Dang! That's one hot to trot kitty! My cat doesn't get that high class treatment. Lyme disease? Who cares. My cat will be out of luck. ;)
