Last month I had noticed on the Museum of Science website that there was a family scavenger hunt around the museum today for members. I quickly picked up the phone and made a reservation! We got up early and headed for Boston. The hunt was SO fun...and very challenging! We pretended it was our own little version of The Amazing Race. One of the highlights was a clue that had us at an animal exhibit. It was multiple choice and we had to figure out which animal was NOT in the exhibit. Dave and I are feverishly trying to cross off options when all of a sudden Nick says, "Hey look....a list!" There was a small plaque on the wall listing all the animals in the display! Waa-hoo! Nick saved the day!! We ended up getting 19 of 20 right and winning some Omni passes!

We went to McDonald's for lunch.
Nick's "friend" party was at his karate school again this year. He chose blow darts for an activity. There was also a pinata, pizza, rock climbing, samurai sword cake cutting and a karate demo by Nicholas. All the kids had a great time and I think it's safe to say Nick has enjoyed being 8 thus far.
Now, off to set the clocks ahead and loose an hour of sleep tonight!!!!

I laughed out loud about Nick figuring out to just look at the list of animals during your hunt. :) Way to go, Nick, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!
