Mother's Weekend

What better way to spend the day before Mother's Day than celebrating the impending birth of our newest family member with the women of my family??? My cousin, Kara, is due to have her baby boy in less than a month. We had such a wonderful time at her shower on Saturday! From our side of the family, our grandmother, her mother, my mother, myself and Megan were there. Kara's mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law were also able to drive in from out of state to celebrate. It was a time filled with joy and laughter. It was a fantastic celebration of motherhood!
On actual Mother's Day, we saw my Grandma Way and Aunt Ellie at church and then headed over to Dave's Grandmother's for the afternoon. We celebrated there with the women of Dave's family. This year is again made more exciting by the anticipation of our newest cousin on that side, also due in mid-June!!! The weather was nice and the kids all got to play outside for a long time.

After such an exciting weekend, we all slept well last night. Megan even slept in! It was worth it to bring her to school 10 minutes late rather than wake her.

We are all *so* looking forward to the excitement of the coming month or so. Just think how fun Father's Day is going to be!!!
