You'd never know that Nicholas was sick for the entire week before his birthday. He more than made up for it the entire weekend!
Saturday afternoon he celebrated with his friends at his karate school. They all had so much fun! They had a karate lesson, played with "glow-chucks", went in the climbing cave and Nick cut his cake with a REAL Samurai sword! At the end he did a little demo of his skills (including breaking a board) for his friends and their families. For supper Saturday night we went to Grandpa Al and D's house. We've all been sick, so it was also to celebrate Grandpa's birthday (Feb. 15th). Nick, Megan and Joey always love to get together and play!
Sunday afternoon was spent celebrating THREE birthdays. Papa Mark's was March 5th, Nick's was the 7th and Auntie Cheryl's will be March 17th. It was a "wild" time with the family....and a party animal (enormous, decorated gorilla) that's been showing up at a lot of parties lately!
